Alternative Break Requests!
Alternative Spring Break is right around the corner for some members!
Don't forget that you MUST submit your Alternative Break requests 6 weeks prior to your scheduled trip! It has to be approved by CNCS before you are able to participate as a VISTA member!!
You can find the Alt Break form and Post-Trip report (due one week after trip) on the FORMS tab.
Mid-Term Evaluations!
The due date for the mid-term evaluations has been extended to January 31st!!!
Site supervisors and VISTA members are to complete, review together, and send the evaluations to ORCC by January 31st.
The form can also be found on the FORMS tab!
E-Newsletter Winter Issue: Large Days of Service (due February 3rd)
So far Matt, Hannah Aten, and Holly have signed up for this e-newsletter submission! I need 4 to 5 more people to write a submission for this article!
It is mandatory for each VISTA member to do one article for our quarterly newsletter, so it is best to write one based on your particular service! Let me know ASAP if you are interested in the winter issue! To see how it is composed, the submission form can be found here.
December IST Survey!
We would love your feedback about IST! What did you like? What needs to change? Did you get a lot out of the sessions? Please let us know! It certainly helps for planning trainings in the future. The survey is short, so it should take less than 5 minutes! Follow the link above to get started.
Equity and Racial Justice Learning Community- SIGN UP!
We are thrilled to offer you an additional training to support and influence your service as a VISTA. Beginning in January, you will have the to opportunity to participate in the Equity & Racial Justice Learning Community with your fellow VISTAs. The online learning community will be led by Sonali Sangeeta Balajee through August.
Topics will focus on key components of the Equity and Empowerment Lens created by Multnomah County and discussed at the December In-Service Training! You will also have the opportunity to lead and facilitate conversations in areas of personal interest relating to equity & racial justice!

Theater of the Oppressed
All of us at ORCC cannot thank Hannah Forman enough for her amazing presentation of Theater of the Oppressed! She did a great job facilitating this training session! I hope you all are able to use what we have learned during her presentation at your individual sites. I will certainly do the same. Both the PowerPoint and pdf versions of the presentation are here for your convenience!
